A Hot Ticket and a Packed Rooftop: Naperville Hits 100+

Last night’s Naperville Business Network event at Empire Burgers & Brews in downtown Naperville was one for the record books.
For the first time ever, we welcomed more than 100 business professionals to one of our Naperville events, filling the rooftop with an incredible mix of entrepreneurs, professionals, business owners, and community leaders. The atmosphere was electric from start to finish, and the excitement never let up.
What made the night even more special was the variety of people who joined us. We met attendees who had not been to a networking event in years. We welcomed people who attended one of our very first networking events back in 2009. We had guests travel from Indiana and others make the trip from downtown Chicago to experience what so many people have been talking about.
It was a powerful reminder that when you build a community centered around authentic relationships, people are willing to go the extra mile to be part of it.
A Community Built on Genuine Connections
One of the themes we heard repeatedly throughout the evening was how different these events feel compared to other networking groups.
Many attendees shared stories about the relationships, partnerships, and opportunities they have created through our events. Several people told us they consistently make more meaningful connections at our events than anywhere else. Others shared that they regularly attend multiple networking groups but continue coming back because of the quality of the people in the room.
One comment in particular stood out:
“I’ve been to a lot of networking events, but your events are the only ones where people actually follow up with me afterward.”
That simple statement says a lot.
Networking is not about collecting business cards. It is not about giving the same elevator pitch to twenty people and hoping something sticks. Real networking happens when people take the time to learn about one another, build trust, and continue the conversation after the event ends.
That is exactly what we strive to create.
More Than an Event
As the evening unfolded, introductions were happening everywhere. New relationships were being formed, old friendships were being renewed, and opportunities were being created in every corner of the rooftop.
What continues to make Naperville Business Network special is the willingness of attendees to help one another. People show up looking for ways to connect, collaborate, and support fellow professionals. The result is a community that feels welcoming whether it is your first event or your fiftieth.
That culture does not happen by accident. It is built one conversation, one introduction, and one follow-up at a time.
A Milestone Worth Celebrating
Reaching 100 attendees is certainly exciting, but the number itself is not what matters most.
What matters is what that number represents.
It represents years of relationship building. It represents people inviting colleagues, friends, and referral partners because they know they will have a positive experience. It represents a community that continues to grow because its members believe in what we are building together.
Last night was not just our largest Naperville event to date. It was a celebration of the relationships, trust, and community that have made that growth possible.
